USG/Doppler USG

Please, it is necessary to order for an examination. I DO NOT HAVE TO DECIDE FOR THE METHOD.

How does it work?

Ultrasound examination is a painless and non-invasive imaging method that uses ultrasound waves to produce images. This is a first-choice exam for the visualization of internal organs and soft-tissue structures of the body. Mineralized tissue and gas will usually not allow USG examination.
Ultrasound examination have no side effects and it is mostly carried out in the presence of the owner.

Preparation for examination

Patients are examined at different positions on the examination table using a special gel applied on the body surface, often the coat of the patient needs to be shaved. Sedation is needed only exceptionally. Ultrasound also allows biopsy collection for cytological and histopathological examination.

Duration of the examination

Usually 30 minutes. Take a minimum of an hour for the examination.

Do not change the treatment until the examination is completed. Fasting for 12-16 hours before the examination is needed. Please inform us at the time of the appointment reservation if your pet is taking any medication.
